History

1995•

Set up a joint venture oil plant in Changchun with Pharmaceutical Factory to Norman Bethune Medical University. This oil plant was designed for processing pharmaceutical grade of Evening Primrose Oil.

1997• LVS has collected 80% of total Evening Primrose seed harvest of the year. The worldwide Evening Primrose shortage had been lasting till the fall of 1998.
1999•

LVS built a new oil plant at No.20 Longhua Street in western Changchun with facilities of seed cleaning, cold pressing, oil extraction, oil refinery and labs. The oil plant went into production in September of 1999 with a capacity of processing Evening Primrose Oil 500mt per year.

2000• Has reached its most efficient oil production level, LVS was leading the special vegetable oil industry in China into an age of standard procedure manufacturing.
2001•

An organic farm was certificated by IMO.

LVS starts to promote the using of organic fertilizer in Evening Primrose farms.

2002• LVS has passed the ISO9001:2000 certification audited by China Quality Certification Centre
2003• LVS has passed the certification of Ecocert SA as an Organic Oil plant with the provisions of both EC and NOP regulations.
2005•

LVS grown Borage seed on high altitude farms in western China.

The oil plant was expanded into larger processing capacity as 1100mt of vegetable oils per year.

2006• passed the HACCP-EC-01 certificate with ZDHY
2007• LVS has obtained a new Primrose variety –Chaoyang - from a breading program.
2008• The oil plant was expanded into larger processing capacity up to 1800mt of vegetable oils per year.
2009• LVS has set up a Food Safety Management System for compliance with the standard of ISO22000:2005 and pass the certification by China Quality Certification Centre
2010•

Grown Hi-GLA Borage in Yunnan Province.

LVS has obtained 3 new Primrose varieties of Hi-Oil content from its breading program.

2011•

Promoted the new technique of machine harvesting Evening Primrose seed.

Organized Primrose Growers Cooperatives and Borage Growers Cooperatives.

2012• Purified new Primrose variety Chaoyang has put into large-scale production.
2013• LVS has set up a new seed cleaning line which is powerful to remove pesticides contaminates out of seeds.
2014• A traceability system with video monitors has set up according to the strictest Chinese Food Safety regulations.
